Happy November everyone..

As a oil mentor and educator I love bringing people ideas of how and when to use essential oils.  The Holidays is the perfect time to bring out the those oil bottles and use them to help in so many ways during this busy season.  Here are some helpful hints to make these Holidays as wonderful as possible.
Making the house feel festive.
doTERRA during the holidays has some great blends.  Have an artificial tree but still want to have the house smell like Christmas try these Christmas blends.  Diffusing makes it fun.  Put a drop or two on a cotton ball and hide it in the branches.
dōTERRA Holiday Joy-Wild Orange, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Clove with the fresh and airy scent of Siberian and Douglas Fir

dōTERRA Holiday Peace-calming aromas of three firs—Siberian, Douglas, and Himalayan—complimented by Grapefruit, Frankincense, and Vetiver.

Harvest Spice-sweet and spicy with Cassia Bark, Clove, Nutmeg, Cinnamon; the soothing with Cedarwood; and the fresh and uplifting aroma of Eucalyptus.  Purchase the new diffuser and receive this new oil free.  While supplies last so hurry.
These are all offered for a limited time only and while supplies last
Help make this season free of illness by using oils to clean the house with.  Besides smelling great. Citrus oils are also antibacterial, can cut through grease and make you feel happy – an added benefit!  Add 3-4 drops Lemon, Orange or Lime oil to ½ cup white vinegar and 2 cups water for a glass and tile cleaner.
So why not use oils to cook with this holiday  Oils such as Cilantro, Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Peppermint and citrus oils are great in cooking and baking. Plus you are getting the added therapeutic value of the essential oil.
Check out the holiday recipes by going to doTERRA.com and searching holiday https://www.doterra.com/US/en/search/content?text=holiday  I love the peppermint dip.  Yummy.
Since oils are so potent, it’s best to dip a toothpick into the oil and swirl the toothpick into your recipe. You can always add more oil, but you can’t take it out! And as with all my suggestions please make sure you have pure therapeutic grade essentials oils that have been approved by GRAS if you want to use them for cooking.
Some oils which can help with coughs and colds are: Myrrh, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lemon, Lavender, dōTERRA On Guard®  Protective Blend and dōTERRA Breathe®  Respiratory Blend.  Use the throat drops from either dōTERRA On Guard® or dōTERRA Breathe® to make sure when you are around other people you are protected.  I use Eucalyptus in my shower (a drop or Two) to keep my airways clear all day.
This is a big one during the holidays as we eat things we don’t usually eat or we have so much around its hard to resist.  Peppermint, Ginger, Cardamom, Lavender, Fennel or the DigestZen®  Digestive Blend to help with digestive discomfort and indigestion.  Add a few drops to water to take internally. Rub on the stomach before flying or taking a road trip for a calming aroma Or take DigestZen® internally when traveling or trying new foods to soothe occasional stomach upset.  Add to water or tea to maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract. Great in chamomile tea or just add Ginger to a small amount of honey and hot water (I like to add a drop or two of Lemon oil.  This month you can get the DigestZen® soft gels for 10% off.  I personally love the DigestTab®  Chewable Tablets.  Think about having them out when you have friends and family around so anyone could nonchalantly take some.
It is sometimes hard for people during the holidays especially those who have lost a love one.  Citrus oils are always uplifting as are Frankincense, Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Elevation Joyful Blend or dōTERRA Cheer®  Uplifting Blend. Put a few drops of one of these oils in a diffuser or on some cotton balls or just inhale right from the bottle.  Don’t be afraid to use them during this holiday season even if you only wear it for other to smell.  I just got the new Christmas Signature Aromas with Monogram Clutch which has dream and radiant in it.  Can’t wait to use this during the holidays
Right, this is the season for headaches with all the tension and stress maybe even overeating or lack of water etc.  too much shopping, not enough time, lack of sleep you get the picture.  Use Peppermint, Frankincense, Lavender, Eucalyptus or PastTense®  Tension Blend on your temples.
It helps ground and balance emotions, useing a fresh, cooling aroma that can ease stressful feelings and promote a sense of calm.
Let’s talk Calming oils.  And remember to include your pets.  They get stressed too during the holidays with more people ringing that door bell or just being around more people.
Lavender, Cedarwood, Myrrh, Patchouli, Frankincense or dōTERRA Serenity®  Restful Blend will help to calm the atmosphere.
HANGOVER: Oh and if you over do here is a great recipe for you.   2 drops Wild Orange, 2 drops Peppermint, 2 drops Lemon and 1 drop Ginger in water and drink!
Please remember not all essential oils are created equal.  Choice the oil that certified pure therapeutic grade.  Especially if you are ingesting them.  Just because it says 100 % natural or pure does not mean it does not have filler and harmful ingredient.
Have a great Holiday and remember I have an oil for that.
Life is Great!!
